Year 1

English

In English we are implementing the new National Curriculum across the school.  We use 'Talk for Write' where the children learn and retell stories and texts.  We are using the Lancashire suggested units of work.

 Our reading scheme is based around The Oxford Reading Tree Scheme. 

The phonics scheme we follow is Letters and Sounds. 

 Mathematics

In Mathematics we have implemented the updated 2014 National Curriculum across school. We are using the Lancashire Scheme of Work for Mathematics.
