Choose a picture from a story, can you write a simple sentence to match it? Don’t forget to sound it out (parents- avoid asking children to copy your writing encourage them to have a go, Nursery children can dictate a sentence)

you say about your collage.

British Council Kids Songs - Very young learners will love the songs in the Little kids songs section. There are action songs, traditional songs, songs to dance to and famous English songs like Incy Wincy spider and Old Macdonald had a farm. All the songs are animated so little kids can sing, dance and watch all at the same time!

Busy Things are offering parents access for only £1 (see Poster top of this page for special code)


Children can also freely access activities that can be completed independently on Minimash, on the Purple Mash website. Just log in and children will be able to explore minimash activities, also click on the Wall map and this will take the children into Simple City. This enables children to explore different videos, activities and games for each area of the map.


Children also have access to our school’s app Education City. The children will receive a log-in for this, that will be in their home learning pack. On here are activities for phonics, English, Maths and Science.
