Woodlands

Mount Pleasant Primary School is striving to improve social inclusion and leisure activities for people young and old. To achieve this, every two weeks we visit Woodlands Care Home.

This week was games week. Children brought Lego down to Woodlands and in groups the residents and pupils created their very own master piece

For the new Spring half term, a new group of pupils visited Woodlands. This was a meet and greet session where residents and pupils got to know a little more about each other.

To start the Christmas celebrations, children and residents painted Christmas themed ceramics and were even gifted a selection box each

Arts and crafts week. The children and residents had such a fun afternoon designing and painting their very own glass jars

This week was quiz afternoon. The children and residents got into groups and together made their way through a 24 question quiz. There were lots of sweets and drinks shared around while playing. The winning team won chocolate. YUMM!

As this was week 1 and an introduction session, children spent the afternoon speaking to residents and them to the children getting to know one another. The children discussed their likes and different activities they do outside of school. The children and residents drank juice and ate biscuits.
