School Meals

Children in Foundation Stage (Reception) and Key Stage 1 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals. Children in Key Stage 2 may bring a packed lunch or have a school meal. The current price for school meals is £2.50 per day/£12.50 per week, payable to the office in advance on Monday mornings. We ask you to put the dinner money in a named envelope to avoid loss of confusion. Correct change is greatly appreciated.

If you think you may be eligible for free school meals you can obtain a form from the Education Office in Accrington or speak to the school office.

If you wish to send your child to school with a packed lunch, we ask that you send drinks (not fizzy) in sealed containers, no glass bottles or cans, we also do not allow soup. Children having a school lunch are provided with a drink and should therefore not bring drinks for lunchtime. An example of a standard acceptable packed lunch would be a tuna sandwich, yoghurt, piece of fruit and carrot sticks (a bag of crisps is optional).

                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Lunchtimes

Our catering staff are available to discuss any food allergies your child may have. Please contact the school office to make an appointment.

Snacks

Children in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 are entitled to a piece of fruit each day from the 'Fruit for Schools' Scheme. Water is provided in classrooms throughout the day.

In Key stage 2, we recommend that children bring a fruit snack for playtime. Children are provided with a water bottle, with a pull top, which is refilled throughout the day.
